![]() '07 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon - Made it too easy to drive in all sorts of weather. Simple, but best brake combination I've ever owned. Full chassis underbrace, front and rear blanks, hawk pads, SS brake lines, Yokohama tires 205 section width up front made the car that much more loose at higher speeds. '01 Mr2 Spyder - The car I regret selling. The lack of seat bolstering, and added torque vs gas mileage was not worth it. '04 Mazdaspeed Miata - shortest ownership time. Disadvantage, everyone else thinks you're an officer, even without the lights, speaker, and a gray paint job. '05 Ford Police Interceptor - Advantage, local officers don't care if you speed. Met some champion AutoX Mr2 driver while he was selling parts near Miracle Mile. Even had the special steering rack gear to shorten end-to-end steering down to 2.2, before I sold it for $$$. '93 Mr2 N/A w Bilstein, OEM springs, TRD front and rear brace, blank rotors, Carbotech F/R pads. '98 Corolla - I am definitely irritated that this car is 200lbs lighter than my GR86 But I think my car history will say quite a bit. But damn it was fun.Ĭlick to expand.Huh, apparently I can't attach photos. Went through 5 or 6 sets of turbos, 3 or 4 sets of exhaust manifolds, countless rear axles. In the end we were running 315/35-18 FRONT tires and 275/40-17 rears. HKS exhaust, JR oil cooler, CSG brake pads, RBF600, whiteline camber bolts, no intake diaper.Ĭar that wasn't mine, but i worked on so much I feel like it was. This car has been in snow, mud and water.more so than my 4x4 F150 ever was.Ģ3 BRZ. Eibach lift springs, 18X8 BBS wheels and Falken Wildpeaks. Yes, I even modded the family car.but lightly. 400whp and 580lb-ft.Bilstein 5100 shocks and a 2" lift with 33" tires.Ģ0 Ascent. Downpipe, full exhaust, Wagner intercooler, AFE charge pipes, intake custom tune. Koni yellows do wonders for soft German suspensions.ġ3 F150 Ecoboost 4x4. Fully developed for STS then turned into Honda Challenge racecar.Ġ4 Jetta GLI. Purchased with 172k miles for $2500 for the sole purpose of autox. This was my autox car for 3 years and lead me to my first track day.ĩ1 Civic Si. Full engine bolt ons, coilovers, sway bars, wider wheels and tires. Never touched the suspension.Ġ0 Sentra SE w/ Performance Package. A 90 dry shot of the juice had me door to door with Corvettes. Started as a stereo on wheels but then a header, no cat, intake and exhaust started tipping the scales. I just want to enjoy this new sports car experience for as long as I can! LOVE IT! I will put an exhaust on it and maybe make some other changes down the road but for now, no real modification plans. Pilaf converted me into a Miata believer and I don't see myself parting ways with it making Pilaf another permanent member of the collection.Įnter the BRZ aka Beeruz! This was supposed to be a WRX or a GR Corolla but both of those cars underwhelmed me and we already have a CX-50, so on my birthday I put down a deposit for a 2023 BRZ and here we are today!! This is my daily driver. Since 2020 I have resealed the engine, replaced the clutch, suspension, roll bar, full timing belt service (twice), Short Nose crank repair, and TONS of elbow grease (aesthetic improvements). But I was desperate for cheap thrills and a teacher. When I bought Pilaf it leaked (literally) puddles of oil on my floor, it was faded pink, and the suspension was trashed. ![]() I think the miata is the best platform there is for that (so many resources and affordable). I also wanted a good learning platform for driving skills and mechanical knowledge. I purchased the Miata on New Year's day 2020 as a fun project car to hold me over until I could afford a nicer (faster) sports car. The BRAT aka Krillin is a permanent member of the collection and is driven weekly. The rear jump seats will be installed when we do bodywork and paint but for now, I am saving funds to tackle that work properly. If I modify anything it will be for chassis and suspension reinforcement. I had plans to EJ22 swap it but I have abandoned those plans and will keep it 100% stock/OEM. It's got new suspension, resealed motor, some new (old) interior bits, and a frick ton of elbow grease. The BRAT is a 1986 model year and was my wife's grandparent's farm/work truck I bought that in 2018 (barn find) I have been preserving it since. No mods, I just put Crossclimate2s on it and that is likely all we will do unless my wife wants to change anything else.
